About Luca

Luca Turilli is an internationally recognized composer, arranger, producer, ghostwriter, and multi-instrumentalist.

Known for his versatility, he is constantly engaged in various projects and multiple musical genres. From the symphonic metal of his beginnings with his first band, Rhapsody, to the intense and vibrant pop/rock of his current productions. From the modern piano compositions of his upcoming debut album, Earthrise, to the guitar virtuosity of Guitar Explorations - his first instrumental album focused on lead guitar playing, which promises to captivate audiences upon its release in 2025.
Luca has been featured as a composer, arranger, producer, guitar player, and/or keyboardist in over 20 albums and toured the world with his bands for over two decades. Dolby and Yamaha have chosen his music and his orchestral and cinematic arrangements to showcase the Dolby Atmos systems globally. His albums have entered the charts in Europe, Asia and South America, selling more than one million physical copies.

As a teenager, Luca discovered Yngwie Malmsteen's early releases, which blended neoclassical elements with heavy rock and virtuosic shredding in a way that had never been heard before. Inspired, he purchased his first electric guitar and, driven by a lifelong love for classical music, began transcribing the works of Bach, Vivaldi, Paganini, Chopin, and others for guitar. This self-driven process played a key role in developing his technique.
A few years later, Luca encountered the album that would change his life: Perpetual Burn by Jason Becker. This masterpiece, along with other neoclassical guitar classics like Speed Metal Symphony by Cacophony, Dragon’s Kiss by Marty Friedman, Maximum Security by Tony MacAlpine, and others, deeply influenced his playing style and direction and motivated him to focus on "sweep picking," a technique he has since mastered and for which he is widely celebrated.
Through the guitar parts he created for his bands, Luca unveiled a distinctive style that evolved and took shape throughout his career - a fusion of neoclassical, prog, and world music elements that became his signature and has undoubtedly inspired an entire generation of musicians.
